Of course a mixture between Star Wars and Stargate.
The background is a matte-painting. I took a photo of the sky, and then I added the buildings in Cinema 4D.
For the foreground I simply modelized the rings and used the plugin Shave and Haircut for the grass.
Finally, I added a volumetric light and some blur.
I didn't planed anything for this picture, I left my imagination fly.
